Marie LaFolle

Support Coordinator - Perth

Being from a multicultural country, helped me to be who I am today and being so compassionate in my role. I started my journey in the Mental health sector in 2016 as a Support worker and Support Coordinator since 2022. Being around the participants every day, sharing their good and bad days has been for me a great and privileged experience. I then felt the need to learn more, in 2021 I completed my diploma in Community Services, I am now currently working towards my bachelor’s in social work.

I believe that we all deserve to live the best of our life no matter the circumstances or how hard it might be. Bringing a smile on my participant face means a lot to me. Having the opportunity to help those who need It, being a support to those who does not have anyone to rely on, is one of the reasons why I have chosen to be a Support Coordinator.

Every day is different, it might be challenging at times, I try as much as possible to create the best and safest environment for my participants.

“A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It Is a catalyst, and it sparks extraordinary results.”
