Nicole Engelmann

Clinical Leader

I have worked in the Disability sector for over 20 years, across many services including direct disability support and management, employment, Disability Justice, Case Management, Planner and Supervisor with the NDIS I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Intellectual Disability) and a specialist Certificate in Criminology (Forensic Disability). Along with my lived experience and work history, these skills and experience give me a legislative framework, knowledge of the inner workings of the NDIS and an empathetic insight and understanding to working with and supporting people. I’ve been told my special skills are maintaining a steady calmness in a crisis and deescalating a situation, finding a solution to the problem and navigating the legislative world of NDIS. I am a passionate advocate for inclusion and normative pathways, including supporting someone to explore their passions, be in the drivers eat of their own lives and make their own decisions, whether others determine them to be right wrong or otherwise. No matter how big or how small, I’m here to support and celebrate your successes and learning from your own experiences.

“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do” — Edward Everett Hale
