Marita Ballon

Specialist Support Coordinator - Melbourne East

I feel that the role of a Support coordinator is to be passionate and enthusiastic about helping people with a disability become more independent and develop skills so they can have the ‘best life possible’. I support a family member with a disability to live an independent, full life and, can relate to the barriers faced by PWD. Empathy, and being a good listener come naturally to me.

I have worked in the Disability sector all my working life, including teaching in Special Education and TAFE environments, managing Day Centres supporting ASD participants, and more recently working in Open Employment/DES. I want to make a difference in the lives of NDIS recipients by working with them to get the most out of their Plans. With Future Focus Support Coordination I currently support participants in and around East Melbourne.
