Lauren Sheriff

Specialist Support Coordinator - Bayside

I come to Future Focus Support Coordination with an extensive background within the Aged Care sector as well as the Disability Support sector. Working both within the residential setting and home care environment. My experience with disabilities includes physical disabilities through to neurological disorders including but not limited to Spina Bifida, MS, Dementia, and ABI. I also bring with me over 15 years of lived experience working with children ranging from newborns right through to late teens/early adulthood.

My experience working within the disability sector, as well as the aged sector, has given me hands-on experience and knowledge of the difficulties faced by those with a disability on a day-to-day basis. I have seen firsthand the impact that this along with the separation from loved ones has on a person’s willingness to participate and/or strive to achieve their goals. It is my goal as a Support Coordinator with Future Focus Support Coordination to encourage and support people with disabilities to take the steps necessary to expand their capacity to achieve their goals and to become active members of their communities. I will always follow the values of Future Focus Support Coordination by being respectful and inclusive and will strive to continuously improve.
