Jenny Tao

Specialist Support Coordinator - Melbourne East

As a people person, it always makes me happy to see others’ needs get met. I have been participating in various voluntary services since I was in high school. Additionally, my experience in Human Resources Management and strong intercultural competency working, serving and studying in different countries (such as HK, London, Tokyo), industries (such as finance, manufacturing, and construction) and charities (serving women and youths) has helped equip me to effectively work and build rapport with people of all ages at all levels.

Before coming to Australia, I was involved in various charities and organized different local and international activities for them, including a leadership program for over 150 outstanding young women and representing an NGO to give a presentation in the parallel event of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women Conference (UNCSW61) in New York. In addition, I earned my master’s degree in social work in Melbourne. All these opportunities have fostered my open attitude towards different cultures as well as my communication skill to interact positively with people from different backgrounds. Improving people’s quality of life is the goal I am constantly passionate about. Being a support coordinator allows me to put what I learn into practice and aligns with my goal.
