Dean Goyne

Specialist Support Coordinator - Melbourne East

Being a Support Coordinator is something I’m very passionate about. It enables me to utilize my strongly developed skills of communication, research, capacity building, and coordination, as well as extensive experience to assist people with a disability to improve their quality of life and ultimately achieve their life goals. My career in the Disability Sector has spanned over 25 years. During this time, I have been employed in various positions, including Support Worker, Service Coordinator, Case Manager, Housing Officer, and Support Coordinator. My experience as a Support Coordinator within the NDIS over the last 6 years has enabled me the opportunity to assist participants in more specialized areas including, hospital discharge, housing, and home modifications

This experience is complemented by studies in Disability, Community Services, and Health. Having completed my Certificate IV in Residential and Community Services, I have also studied for a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy). These studies have greatly assisted in enabling me to have strong background knowledge and understanding of disability and the impact this can have on a person’s engagement and participation in their daily activities and interests  I joined Future Focus Support Coordination as their values of assisting clients to build their capacity and to be empowered to achieve the life they wish to live to align strongly with mine. The opportunity to work alongside positive, passionate, and experienced colleagues ensures that there is a vibrant team culture in which to develop and succeed.
